Updating Smart Specialisation: navigating from growth to the twin transition
This online event on 28 September (16:00-17:30) focuses on the changing role of smart specialisation strategies within Cohesion Policy and beyond, in the context of the Twin Transition. The objective is to examine the nature of future place-based transformative innovation policies with explicit sustainability aims, based on new generations of smart specialisation strategies. This new generation is not just about identifying growth priorities but actively shaping transformation of the growth model within a twin transition (green and digital) framework.
Organised by Friends of Smart Specialisation (FoSS), the session brings together a panel of expert speakers who will share their knowledge and insights:
- Kai Bohme, Founder and Director of Spatial Foresight;
- Marc Pattinson, Thematic Expert Research and Innovation, Interreg Europe Policy Learning Platform
- Laura Roman, European Commission, DG Research and Innovation, Prosperity Directorate, Industry 5.0
- Lara Porciatti, Project Manager, Skills and Territories for Innovation Unit, ART-ER (IT) Emilia Romagna Region
Register now and get ready to discuss smart specialisation and twin transition on 28 September!
The event is organised as a side event of the European Week of Regions and Cities.
