A moment of the meeting

Transport Research Centre Verne in Tampere University, are organizing a course named  ‘Designing Automated Transport Systems’, which is a part of the ENACT (Education Network on Automated and Connected Transport for Sustainable Cities) project. ENACT is a collaborative effort by leading Finnish universities to educate and empower individuals to lead the charge towards sustainable mobility and cultivate a deep understanding of automated transport systems.

During this course, one of the lectures, on 18 March, was on the topic of 'Analysis: desirability for people, business viability, technical feasibility' in the context of autonomous transport systems. Transport Research Centre Verne in Tampere University invited the EMBRACER partners from JUDU in Vilnius, Lithuania, to present on this topic.

In a significant development in the area of smart mobility, a groundbreaking automated bus pilot project in Vilnius took center stage as insights were shared with a group of enthusiastic students. This pivotal moment marked a collaborative effort among the EMBRACER project partners, aimed at reshaping the future of transportation in the city.
JUDU delved into the tasks undertaken (such as, review of political instruments, market analysis, analysis, and approval of pilot routes, etc.), about overcoming challenges, and discussing their next steps. They also entertained a lot of questions from the audience.
