On 9th April 2024, the Irish Stakeholder Group met online for a comprehensive review session of the project to date, delving into several key agendas aimed at driving regional progress and international engagement. Central to the discussion was the thorough evaluation of the recently approved Regional Analysis, aimed at identifying strategic pathways for economic development.

Moreover, the meeting focused on to the selection of nominees for an international engagement slated to take place in Romania. The partners have a significant commitment to ensure Irish stakeholders actively participate in global exchanges, further bolstering cross-border cooperation and knowledge-sharing.

This forthcoming event promises an immersive exploration of Ireland's vibrant business support ecosystem, encompassing interactions with local government entities, business support agencies, NGOs, and representative bodies.

The group also discussed the Carlow Business initiative to be held in October 2024. Funded by the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) and the Local Enterprise Office in Carlow County Council, this project aims to galvanize the local business community through a series of engaging events. Scheduled activities include a motivational and engagement breakfast, a strategic networking session tailored for startups, and a dedicated tourism forum. Notably, the event will also feature a session dedicated to fostering entrepreneurship among young men, reflecting a commitment to inclusivity and empowerment. The next stakeholder meeting is scheduled for June 2024.
