The 2nd stakeholder meeting agenda encompassed crucial discussions on the project's progress, experiences from the recent interregional meeting in Rome, and upcoming plans for the Second Interregional Session in Tallinn.

Attending the meeting were stakeholders Margarita Laboisse Rodriguez, from the Public Company for the Management of Tourism and Sports of Andalusia, Irene Navarro Franco, Chair of Intelligent Tourism of the University of Sevilla, Anne Dominique Furphy, from the Sevilla Chamber of Commerce and Daniel Santana Verano from Smart Office – Sevilla City Office.

The event started with a warm welcome to all attendees, acknowledging their vital roles as project partners. A detailed presentation highlighted the current status of the TIB Project, emphasising its implementation in Sevilla and insights gained from the Rome meeting. Notably, innovative strategies employed by the Regional Ministry of Tourism, Culture, and Sport to address tourist saturation through data-driven approaches garnered attention.

Key takeaways from the Rome meeting underscored the importance of sustainable mobility and data use for informed decision-making in tourism governance. The forthcoming agenda for the Tallinn session promises discussions on destination development and management, aligning with broader objectives for sustainable tourism in Andalusian Destinations 2023.

The meeting provided a platform for stakeholders to showcase their projects, including initiatives such as the MedDiet-go Interreg project, focusing on preserving Mediterranean traditions while enhancing rural economies, and the Conecta2 project, aimed at real-time data collection for assessing tourist consumption and public space utilization.

Updates on local regulations concerning short-term rental apartments and designating saturated areas within the Historic Centre district reflected ongoing efforts to address tourism-related challenges at the municipal level.

To foster continued collaboration, a proposal for a shared Drive file received enthusiastic support, offering a centralised repository for resources and documents. The meeting concluded with stakeholders reaffirming their commitment to advancing sustainable tourism practices and fostering collaboration for mutual benefit.
