Learning Lab: Supporting the effective uptake of Cohesion Policy funds in energy

The Policy Learning Platform will take part in a workshop on supporting the effective uptake of cohesion policy funds on 3 and 4 July. The workshop will have a special focus on smart specialisation platforms as a tool to enhance innovation capabilities in EU13. Katharina Krell, thematic expert on Low-carbon economy of the Policy Learning Platform, will be present and will contribute to the workshop with a presentation. 
This workshop, also known as a learning lab, is taking place in Budapest. It is organised as part of the Stairway to Excellence and the Smart Specialisation Platform on Energy (S3PEnergy), managed by the Joint Research Center of the European Commission in close cooperation with DG REGIO and in collaboration with the Ministry for Innovation and Technology and the National Research, Development and Innovation Office of Hungary. 
This workshop will focus on the challenges faced by EU13 regions in relation to energy-related innovation policies in their territories through a participatory dialogue and debates between Managing Authorities, EC representatives and other energy-related stakeholders.
