Hosted by the Regional council of Gävleborg, on 29-30 January 2019 regional authorities and peers met to participate in the first Policy Learning Platform Peer Review of the year.
At this two-day event, the challenges of ‘Leadership and governance of regional innovation processes,’ was discussed. Covering policy challenges, peer analyses, brainstorming of solutions and the preparation of concrete policy recommendations for follow-up action.
Participating peers of the Noord-Brabant Region in the Netherlands already started the exchanges with Gävleborg during a ‘matchmaking session’ at the European Week of Regions and Cities, which then led to their successful application for a Peer Review. The Spanish partner of the BeyondEDP project, FUNDECYT Scientific and Technological Park of Extremadura, completes the group of peers for the onsite visit in Gävleborg.
