This is the good practice's implementation level. It can be national, regional or local.
About this good practice
On the program: swimming, snorkeling, apnea exploration, with concrete actions of environmental protection, such as:
1) Collection and categorization of marine waste
2) Observations and counting of marine biodiversity
3) Measurements of water quality (pollution, physico-chemical parameters)
Seatrekking is practiced in small groups of maximum 8 people who move in the environment without boat, without engine or gear and without leaving any traces.
It is an immersive practice that emphasizes reconnection, immersion and active protection of nature.
It is a lever of awareness and personal transformation, and a lever of activation of companies and local organizations in their sustainable approaches.
The participants travel between 3 and 10 km of coastline per day, mainly at sea. Excursions typically last from 1 to 4 days.
The seatrekking excursions target natural, isolated and difficult to access areas, which makes the information collected all the more valuable and useful for research within the framework of participatory science.
