Vilnius accomplishes its autonomous driving shuttle pilot!

After two months of testing, the JUDU-led pilot of an autonomously guided shuttle in Vilnius has come to an end.
The pilot, launched in September ended at the end of November. The autonomous bus operated on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The route duration was approximately 50 minutes. The self – driving bus was powered by electricity, included 13 stops on a 4 Kilometers route. And, riding the autonomous bus was free.
During the test, data were collected and analyzed regarding passenger flows, the quality and suitability of the infrastructure for autonomous transport, as well as the potential effectiveness of the autonomous bus as a form of public transport and its potential integration into the city’s transportation system in the future. Now, it's time to collect statistics and results to be shared early 2025.
