Sharing for Tomorrow: World Environment Day in Eordaia

On the occasion of World Environment Day, the Municipality of Eordaia, together with the Bioeconomy and Environment Cluster of Western Macedonia (CluBE), welcomed students, educators, and community members to a meaningful gathering focused on environmental awareness and youth engagement. The event was held in collaboration with Diadyma S.A., PPC S.A., and the Primary and Secondary Education Directorates of Kozani.
🎒 Students became the voice of the environment, sharing messages for a cleaner planet through thoughtful presentations, creative displays, music, and dance. They explored educational booths, participated in games, and received eco-friendly gifts, deepening their connection to the world around them.
As part of the GOOD Cities Interreg Europe project — in which CluBE and DIADYMA S.A. participate as partners — students were introduced to the principles of the sharing economy, promoting values of sustainability and community cooperation.
🏅 During the event, we proudly presented the Climate Action Group Badge to schools in Eordaia for their commitment to climate education and participation in innovative environmental projects throughout the year. These efforts showed that today’s youth are not just aware — they are actively contributing to solutions.
🎭 A key focus of this year’s event was the role of culture in interpreting climate change. Through visual arts, local heritage, historical narratives, and documentary screenings, students explored the intersection of creativity and environmental stewardship. In doing so, they became not only learners but also storytellers and advocates for sustainability.
🙏 Many thanks to the Municipality of Eordaia for the invitation and to all co-organizers for their continued collaboration. Together, we’re planting seeds for a more conscious, connected, and sustainable future.
