How to improve heat planning through the use of ICT tools

On 18 June 2025, the University of Patras in Greece will host an interregional workshop, bringing together experts and specialists from eight European countries. The workshop will focus on enhancing strategic heat planning using ICT tools.
The workshop aims to enhance the knowledge of Green4HEAT partners regarding existing ICT tools that can improve strategic heat planning at local and regional levels. Partners will review key technological advancements that support the mapping of current heat supply and demand, as well as the forecasting of future demand under different scenarios. Through a combination of presentations from domain experts and interactive discussions, Green4HEAT partners will develop a more comprehensive understanding of the territorial potential for the deployment of green technologies in heating and cooling, in terms of renewable energy sources (RES), waste heat and heating demand.
The Green4HEAT project, funded under the Interreg Europe program, focuses on advancing sustainable heating and cooling systems across Europe. With a total budget of €1,885,058, the project aims to improve the energy efficiency of heating systems, increase the use of renewable energy sources, and promote the adoption of green technologies and innovations.
