2nd STAKEHOLDER MEETING HELD IN SLOVENIA

Development Centre of the Heart of Slovenia (DCHS) organized 2nd Local Stakeholder Group meeting, which was held at the Municipality of Litija on the 10th of May 2024.

This gathering was organized together with the annual entrepreneurs meeting and  constructive dialogue was encouraged on challenges and opportunities in the field of microfinance, which facilitated the exchange of ideas and best practices

The meeting was successfully attendeed by seven Microfuture stakeholders including Municipality of Litija, Municipality of Šmartno pri Litiji, Regional Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Litija, Regional Development Agency Zasavje, LAG Heart of Slovenia (DCHS coordinator of LAG), Ministry of Economy, Tourism and Sport, and Slovenian Regional Development Fund. In addition to these institutional representatives, there were also 22 entrepreneurs and social entrepreneurs whose insights enriched the meeting.

Mojca Štepic, Director of DCHS,outlined and clarified the policy instrument of Microfuture – the Local Development Strategy of LAG Heart of Slovenia and presented findings from 2nd Interregional learning event in Bucharest. A significant focus was on discussing findings from a Gap Analysis in Social Economy and the results in Slovenia of a the survey prepared by Yunus Foundation. The discussion was on current microfinance situation in Slovenia, particularly emphasizing good practices that were identified.

Overall, this meeting provided great feedback, new initiatives and good practices also interesting for other MICROFUTURE partners.
