The European Committee of the Regions (CoR) is drafting an opinion on the future of the cohesion policy post-2020. As a part of the process, the CoR organises a stakeholder consultation on 13 July (10:00-12:00).

The meeting takes place in a hybrid format. Participation is possible either in Brussels at the CoR premises or online.

During the meeting, the co-rapporteurs for this opinion, Mr Alves Cordeiro (PT/PES), Member of the Parliament of the Autonomous Region of the Azores and Mr Boc (RO/EPP), Mayor of Cluj-Napoca, together with his expert Mr Hintea, would be pleased to meet representatives of local and regional authorities and other relevant stakeholders for a consultation and exchange of views on the relevant topics of this opinion.

The working document of the co-rapporteurs is available on the CoR website. During the consultation meeting, stakeholders will be able to share their views and input on the topic. The meeting will be held in English.

The debate on the future of the cohesion policy is already ongoing. The Committee of the Regions plans to adopt an official position on cohesion policy post-2027 at the meeting of the COTER Commission on 26 September 2023 and at the CoR Plenary on 29-30 November 2023.

Registration is open until 11 July 2023 (10:00 Brussels time).
