Better Communication for Cohesion Policy

Cohesion policy is the main European investment policy to achieve the EU Treaty objective of economic, social and territorial cohesion. Communicating on vohesion policy projects is very important as it affect citizens' perceptions of the EU and can raise awareness on the positive impact the EU has on the everyday lives of people.
Local and regional authorities play a fundamental role in implementing cohesion policy and in ensuring the visibility of the EU funded projects. In the context of the ongoing preparation of the future programming period 2021-2027, the Committee of the Regions is preparing an Opinion on "Better Communication for Cohesion policy" (lead by Mr Adrian Ovidiu Teban, EPP/RO).
This communication stakeholders consultation meeting "Better Communication for Cohesion Policy" is an opportunity to share and exchange views between different actors involved in communicating cohesion policy. The meeting is also a part of the #CohesionAlliance activities promoting a strong, effective and more visible cohesion policy beyond 2020.
