MILEstone: Migrantsā Integration in Local Economies
MILEstone addresses policies to facilitate the labour-market integration of third country nationals.
The project currently involves partners from 9 EU countries which are both challenged and aiming at taking advantage of growing numbers of refugees and other migrants.
The partners represent local and regional public authorities or other public-equivalent bodies closely connected to questions of labour market integration.
Given the fact that EU candidate countries, foremost Moldova, are experiencing similar challenges due to the Russian aggression in Ukraine and other migration movements, the MILEstone partners decided to be open to 1 or 2 new partner organisations from candidate countries.
New partners should be public authorities that have an interest to improve their own integration policies, and who are interested to participate in sharing experiences and good practices. This includes the participation in peer review visits to other partner regions starting in autumn 2024.
