DETOCS: DEcarbonising the TOurism Industry Post Covid-19 Support

The DETOCS project addresses the dual challenge of the EU's commitment to decarbonize its economy by 2050 and the urgent need to enhance energy security, self-sufficiency, and competitiveness.

Focused on the repercussions of the current energy crisis on tourism infrastructure viability, DETOCS aims to facilitate the sector's recovery post-COVID-19 in a sustainable, low-carbon manner.

Through collaborative efforts and knowledge exchange among partner regions, the project seeks to enhance regional policies, drawing from successful practices elsewhere.

DETOCS' key objectives include decarbonizing tourism infrastructure, improving energy efficiency, fostering energy self-sufficiency, promoting novel forms of tourism, and mitigating the impact of the energy crisis.

We seek collaboration with organizations with expertise in energy-related themes and serving as responsible authorities for the policy instrument, whether in the energy or tourism sector.
