Joint study visit in Graz

The City of Graz, Department of Traffic Planning, introduced in 2010 a special financial support model to  encourage primary and secondary schools to implement various school mobility management (SMM) measures. Therefore, a comprehensive package of actions was designed named SMM Action Programme. The portfolio ranges from awareness-raising campaigns, safe walking/cycling courses, on-site visits and school trips to workshops and specific lessons concerning mobility issues. Guidelines that introduce up to 40 measures and activities which could be financially supported by the City were set up and are revised once a year. The guidelines act as a catalogue from which the schools can pick and choose their favored SMM activities. 
During the Study Visit both the financial support model and the SMM Action Programme will be presented as well  as successful actions by representatives from the municipality, providers of actions and schools.
