A chart with Austrian partners in projects by topic

Four projects are led by Austrian partners.

  • CLUSTERIX 2.0 and InnoBridge work on research and innovation issues
  • LAST MILE contributes to low-carbon economy via mobility; and
  • RCIA works on competitiveness of SMEs in cultural and creative industries.

CLUSTERIX 2.0, for example, is a follow-up project with experience from INTERREG IVC, the Interreg Europe's predecessor. The project partners decided to move their cooperation further and into new areas with this new, more ambitious project. Read about their latest meeting in Innsbruck this summer. You can also read a success story about the project's predecessor here. More stories are available at the following page.

The other nine projects have a lead partner from another country. For example the ENHANCE project, which works on circular economy issues, is led by the Government of Catalonia from Spain. The project partners met in Vienna this June to discuss good examples for circular economy from Vienna. You can read more about the visit here.

Good practices from Austria

Interreg Europe projects exchange experience and good practices in the topic they work on. The best good practices are selected and validated by the Policy Learning Platform experts and presented in the programme's good practice database.

A number of good practices come from Austria. For example, the TIP Innovation Profiling practice submitted by the Austrian project partner in InnoBridge. It is a practice supporting companies in bridging the gap between research and innovation ideas or results and their commercialisation. You can read about a staff exchange visit in Austria, in which this good practice was discussed.
