Kamp C | ‘t Centrum: a tangible example of a circular office building

About this good practice
The construction industry has been slow to change, and when we started this project, circular construction was still new, with only a few high-profile examples. While these raised awareness, they didn’t always lead to real change in everyday construction.
To create a replicable model, Kamp C set out to build a circular office that others could follow. From the start, it was important to involve key stakeholders to ensure a shared understanding of circular principles. This meant investing in the early procurement phase to align everyone with our vision. Therefore, Kamp C organized masterclasses with experts to discuss circular procurement and introduce the plans for ‘t Centrum. These sessions generated great interest, encouraging participants to collaborate and take action.
To further drive change, we documented everything and shared procurement guidelines on our website, in seminars, and through various platforms. Many professionals knew the industry needed to change but felt stuck in old habits. To help, Kamp C offers guided tours that make circular construction tangible. Seeing, touching, and experiencing circular building methods firsthand helps people grasp the benefits and take the next step.
By making the process clear and accessible, we’ve helped shift mindsets and motivated real action towards circularity.
