Educlick programme

About this good practice
Since 2008, Ateliere Fără Frontiere (Workshops Without Borders) has donated more than 22,000 refurbished computers to the Educlick workshop through its donation program. In total, 2,623 educational organizations have benefited from the equipment in the last 14 years, equivalent to more than 10% of all schools in Romania.
The donated computers are compatible and of sufficient quality to be used in implementing various proposed educational projects, ranging from the modernization of computer labs to non-formal education activities and digital literacy. The electrical and electronic devices are prepared for reuse within one of the socio-professional insertion workshops established by the association for vulnerable individuals who are capable of working but need a transitional period to integrate into the labor market.
While professionally managing waste and refurbishing used IT equipment, the association facilitates social stabilization, learning work skills, and preparation for employment. The processes within the workshop are carried out under the careful supervision of team leaders to ensure that the refurbished computers meet the required standards and provide long-lasting usability.
Ateliere Fără Frontiere is an association with economic activity, established in 2008, aimed at the social, professional, and civic integration of vulnerable, excluded, and marginalized individuals.
Resources needed
The total budget of the project is 195,905.48 EUR, of which 166,502.49 EUR is financed by the state budget and 29,382.12 EUR is co-financed.
