GK RECYCLING CLUSTER aims:
- Promote the economy and new R&D&I lines for reuse, the creation of new recycled products and efficiency in the consumption of materials.
- To influence waste management policies, favouring economically and environmentally sustainable reuse and recycling models.
- To explore new employment niches in the field of reuse and recycling, promoting the importance of the circular economy.
- To be a nexus of communication and participation between the different agents in the sector.
- To be a tool for the dissemination of strategic information.

Resources needed
It is a cluster of companies, which brings together 90 reuse and recycling companies in Gipuzkoa, and provides economic data as a sector: a total of 6. 500 jobs and a turnover of 1,425 million euros, 5.3% of our GDP, with a direct impact of more than 650 million euros.

This offers the opportunity to profile itself as a lever and engine of economic growth that promotes the implementation of sustainability policies that generate employment, through a model based on collaboration between companies, administrations and the citizens of our region. At present, GK Recycling is made up of 75 entities, of which 39 are companies, 7 technology centres and universities, 8 foundations and 11 environmental consultancies.
