ADRIE (Association pour le Développement des Ressourceries, l’Insertion et l’Environnement) – Ressourcerie Lélà
About this good practice
ADRIE is a professional integration association working in favour of the circular economy and the digital transition. ADRIE was created in 2014 with the aim of promoting employment support for long-term unemployed people in order to facilitate their social and professional integration.
In partnership with the eco-organisations Vadelia, Ecosystem, Ecologic, ADRIE offers to all professionals a complete and regulatory management of their unsold goods, furniture waste (f-waste) and waste from electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) to :
• Reduce environmental footprint,
• Create jobs in insertion
• Recover waste through reuse and recycling,
• Develop new sectors in La Réunion.
ADRIE has created the brand of upcycled furniture and objects, EKSA. The prototypes of this brand were exhibited at the ‘Salon de la maison 2022’ and the ‘Salon de l'écologie 2021’. The brand targets individuals and professionals.
The ADRIE has premises in Saint-Denis, Sainte-Marie and Saint-Benoît.
Resources needed
Premises (workshops, storage space, showroom) of 1000M2 and 700M2
Approved collection point (Vadelia, Ecosystem, Ecologic)
Approval for insertion through economic activity (carrying a workshop for integration) and hybrid financing (State, local authorities and self-financing).
Evidence of success
It has developed rapidly and is often solicited by numerous partners who express their requests directly or through increasingly numerous calls for projects.
- three resourceries and three digital mediation spaces (one mobile).
- 52 people employed (3 jobs in integration in 2022).
- 18408h of integration in 2021.
- 160 integration positions created.

- digital mediation: 6974 people supported / 300 families equipped.
Potential for learning or transfer
The initiative can be replicated in other regions.
For this type of action to be successful, the promoter must be able to build an active team covering the technical aspects of the circular economy and the solidarity economy.
Beware that the premises can be an obstacle to reuse actions.
