UnicornQuest 4th Interregional Learning Event in Jelgava

On May 14 2025, Zemgale Planning Region will host the fifth UnicornQuest Interregional Learning Event as part of the project's international knowledge exchange activities. The event focuses on sharing best practices in regional innovation policy, start-up ecosystems, and smart development strategies:

• Welcome speeches from the project coordinator, local partners (Zemgale Planning Region and LBTUA), and representatives of the Ministry of Economy of Latvia and Jelgava Municipality.

• Presentations on the national support framework for start-ups, regional development programs, and smart city initiatives in Jelgava.

• A Policy Improvement Workshop aimed at enhancing regional policies based on shared experiences.

• A session with the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia, including an introduction to the Jelgava Business Incubator and start-up pitches from three local entrepreneurs.

• Visits to innovation labs at the Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies (LBTUA).

• A guided tour of the Jelgava Holy Trinity Church Tower, offering cultural insight into the city.

• The day concludes with a social activity and dinner at a local restaurant, providing networking opportunities in an informal setting.
