Thematic Workshop & Study Visit

In the framework of a 3-days interregional event, the CLEAR CITIES project organises a Thematic Workshop and a Study Visit focusing on “Responsible Waste Generation and Management”, for the partners and their stakeholders to exchange experiences in the field, with the goal of identifying Good Practices and all the partner territories importing some of them, in the form of new initiatives or improved policies.
The thematic event in Apeldoorn addresses specifically as a topic “Responsible Waste Generation & Management” with the focus on the reduction of the carbon footprint in the overall process of waste management, reducing waste generation from the source and developing a proper management.
Accordingly, the Good Practices to be shared will be mostly examples of instruments and approaches to promote waste reduction at source (e.g. economic instruments, extended producer responsibility), tools for the identification and analysis of the waste generated or education/awareness-raising measures.
Inspiring initiatives in the field taking place in Apeldoorn and neighbouring areas will be visited in situ, too.
The Thematic Workshop and Study Visit will take place during days 1 and 2; stakeholders from all the partner regions as well as local guests from Apeldoorn are welcomed to join!
Day 3 will be limited to project partners, with sessions concerning project monitoring and the celebration of a Steering Committee participated by all the partner organizations.
