Seminar on Transport and Mobility Inclusion

How accessible and inclusive is transportation in the Turku region? What type of examples of inclusive transportation can be found in other European countries? How should transportation and mobility plans and strategies be developed to achieve a more inclusive transportation system?
Join us on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, in Turku Finland for the international INCLUDES seminar to learn more about mobility and transportation inclusion in the Turku region and other project partner countries.
In the morning, you will hear about the goals of the INCLUDES project and the current state and challenges of transportation inclusion both in the Turku region and the partner countries. Additionally, the consulting and design agency Avaava Oy will present their expert insights on the inclusion aspects of transport and mobility.
In the afternoon, we will explore downtown Turku to examine the accessibility and barrier-free nature of the city’s transportation system and mobility services. We will travel by Föli buses or Fölläri bikes from the AMK campus to the bus station and Kakola Hill. During the journey, our experts will showcase the mobility services implemented in the city.
