On the 8th and 9th of July 2025, we’ll be in Riga for our 4th Interregional Policy Brokerage, hosted by the Riga City Council. This meeting will delve into alternative financing models and mechanisms for temporary uses.

Over the course of two days, we’ll combine structured exchange formats and field visits to explore how cities and regions are approaching temporary uses through innovative financial and governance tools.

Our Policy Brokerage session will create space for structured dialogue across thematic tables, enabling participants to share challenges, explore solutions, and foster peer learning on key issues related to temporary uses.

We’ll also explore two compelling examples of temporary use projects in Riga through study visits:

  • KM 12 – A contemporary case of temporary activation.

  • Former “Veldze” beverage factory – A conversion of industrial heritage into new uses.
