The France Field Visit was held from 22nd to 23rd of September in Bidart. The French partners, ESTIA and APESA were organizing this event to join all partners and Retrace stakeholders for two days event. Partners and stakeholders from Italy, Spain, Slovenia and Romania joined the field visit the 22nd of September in Bidart. There, it was the possibility to find out nine French Good Practices. The peer-review process helped us to have an overview of pros, cons and level of interest and transferability of each GP. API’UP, Txirrind’ola and I-ENER appear like the most relevant and original cases for both partners. Api’up is perceived as a very good example of dismantling and recycling of furniture in a systemic thinking as they are transforming output of a system in input of a new system with higher value and are working in a dense network of local partners. The relevance of Txirrind’ola and I-ENER lies on their topic (mobility and energy) and on the role of citizens, their involvement and their engagement for more autonomy. More particularly, Txirrind’ola offers a convivial place where a diversity of people is represented and is repairing together. The three others Good Practices that had chosen to retain are META-IT, PYRENEX and LE RELAIS. Meta IT is a good example of eco-design and entrepreneurship and highlight the importance of public authorities in the development of engaged and local project, particularly in the sector of IT. As partners illustrated, the strength of GP- Pyrenex lies in its territorial integration and their engagement for realizing a sustainable and circular business. Le Relais is a specific stakeholder collecting and recycling textiles. It illustrates an important sector for Piemont region and Slovenia where concrete effort need to be realized so as to reduce the quantity of wastes consumed every year, and to reinforce the effective upcycling and recycling of products.
