It's already the fourth story about results from our projects working on the competitiveness of SMEs this week.

This time we look closer at the PURE COSMOS project which works on making the public support to SMEs more effective.

Listen to an interview with the Spanish project partner sharing their experience on how they decreased the administrative burden for SMEs looking for public support in Spain.

What have they achieved?

The Regional Government of Catalonia, the Spanish partner in PURE COSMOS, identified a good practice implemented by the Development Bank of Saxony-Anhalt in Germany in one stop shop services for financing and advice in setting up businesses. The Catalonian one stop shop system only includes the activity legalization procedures now, not the financing services.

After several meetings with the Saxony-Anhalt team, the Government of Catalonia decided to include the financing advice services to their one stop shop system in order to increase the services to enterprises and entrepreneurs. This way PURE COSMOS shaped the action plan of the Spanish partner.

The good practice One Stop Shop Catalonia was also featured by the Policy Learning Platform in one of our articles. Have a look at the link above.
