Mompreneurs – The power of communities for supporting entrepreneur-mothers and women in Romania

About this good practice
Founded in 2015 as Mamprenoare Business Hub&Accelerator, a pioneering initiative dedicated to educating and connecting mothers on maternity leave from Cluj-Napoca and across Romania. The mission was to support women who wanted to launch their own businesses, providing financial stability while building a sustainable career.
Through workshops, consultancy, coaching and business promotion, Mamprenoare has empowered hundreds of women across the country, equipping them with the tools, confidence and network needed to thrive as entrepreneurs.
In 2021, recognizing the need for a stronger support system, Mamprenoare Association for Entrepreneurial Mothers was set up, to expand the impact and integrate charitable initiatives into the mission. The association continues to address the challenges faced by women re-entering the workforce post-maternity leave, offering educational programs and promoting women-led businesses as a pathway to financial independence and professional fulfillment.
In 2024, the association expanded to international partnerships, through an Erasmus+ project, collaborating with women entrepreneurs from Estonia. To reflect this growth, the association was rebranded as Ladies in Business HUB & Accelerator and launched a platform designed to connect and support women entrepreneurs across Europe, fostering a wider business community, enabling cross-border collaboration, resources and opportunities for women to scale businesses and make an impact beyond local markets.
