About this good practice
In the past, all the initiatives was set in May and organized by five partners. The format was a tour of events attended by a minority of young people. It was individual actions with no connexion between them
Therefore we thought about a new approach: more open and accessible
This version is about annual program and it’s open to the whole group of awareness-raising operators
The objectives are:
-To integrate beneficiaries in an entrepreneurship program and introduce them to an entrepreneurial pedagogy
-To implement a new dynamic in schools
-To develop a partnership approach
-To reach these objectives, we set actions:
-Organizing proximity events throughout the year with local operators and increasing visibility
-Reducing carbon footprint by focusing on local events
-Promoting and sharing the events between the operators thanks to a collaborative tool
We implements this practice by signing an exclusive agreement with the education department. It allows a better coordination and facilitates access to schools for operators. We also seek the support of every actors for a global involvement
The initiatives promote encounters between young people and professionals and encourage innovation and entrepreneurship. This version allows us to get closer to young people and to promote projects run by more pupils and students
The stakeholders are the education department and all the awareness-rising operators.
The beneficiaries are students, pupils and indirectly teachers and professionals
Resources needed
The resources needed are the awareness-raising operators, the entrepreneurs, the education department and the region. It represents more than fifty people and we add the 300 people from the educational community.
The financial resources is 236 000 € for two years for the top five operators;
Evidence of success
It is a success because the past version organized 14 events during one month and now the updated version organizes 80 events throughout the year. We reached 4000 young people and now it’s 20 000.
This success is possible thanks to the involvement of all operators and not only the 5 historical operators. It was 5 and now it’s 20 operators. They work together on every action and not only their own. They are more involved on the policy.
Potential for learning or transfer
This practice is interesting because it allows:
-Joining a program that enables young people to discover different aspects of entrepreneurship and a new pedagogy, to meet professionals and to get involved in an annual project
-The implementation of a new dynamic in schools
-Setting up a partnership approach
-Organising events throughout the year with different approaches, themes and on different scales
-Encouraging local events that reduce carbon footprint
This policy gives young people the opportunity to get help with their career orientation and to increase their employability
This practice is simple to transfer because it only requires a good organisation with partners
The key of success is to have structured community. It is important to integrate every actors of the sector and to develop the feeling of belonging to a group
