Evidence of success
Presenting the professions that can be gained through vocational training and showing real-life examples: young people who have succeeded after graduating from vocational schools and the companies that cooperate with such schools have contributed to strengthening the image of vocational training as an informed and ambitious choice that can open the door to interesting career opportunities, a stable life and job satisfaction.
Potential for learning or transfer
The apprenticeship provided by the 'Good Vocation - Cool Life' project
may be of interest and inspiration to other regions because of its
comprehensive approach to vocational training problems and its
potential for adaptation in different socio-economic contexts.
An effective strategy to overcome stereotypes - in many countries and
regions, vocational education is still burdened by similar stereotypes as in
Poland. The project shows how, through media and promotional
campaigns, perceptions of this educational pathway can be changed. The
tools and methods used in the project, such as video spots, posters and the
involvement of local opinion leaders, can be easily adapted to other
regions.
Strengthening local labour markets - action can inspire regions with high
levels of labour migration. Encouraging young people to choose local
vocational schools and promoting occupations needed by local companies
can help keep young people in the region and support the local economy.
