About the project
Our experience shows a large increase in the time that parents spent escorting children to destinations, with the increase in car use for these journeys exacerbating the dangers
posed to the remaining unaccompanied children and other pedestrians. The increased numbers of children chauffeuring by their parents, entail more cars in our cities and less mobility independence on children.
There are carried out numerus international researches on Children’s Independent Mobility but in Greece the phenomenon hasn’t been researched and we believe that there is an urgent need for this, in order to measure the mobility licenses children’s have to travel alone and examining the recommendations for action.
The project fit within two Interreg priorities
a)Greener Europe, especially [sustainable urban mobility for zero carbon economy]
b) More Connected Europe, especially [sustainable, climate resilient, intelligent, and intermodal national, regional, and local mobility].
