Revitalization of Salt Square for social, tourist and economic activities

About this good practice
The city center is inscribed on the register of monuments due to its urban layout. Its part is the Salt Square. Originally, the Salt Square was a traditional center of trade in salt and other goods, over time it became a degraded parking and lost in importance.
Prior to proceeding with the revitalization of Salt Square, a community consultation was carried out to determine the needs of residents and the nature of the site in the future. Residents' concerns were taken into account, thus striking a balance between intergenerational integration, economic activity and parking. Eventually, restaurants and cafes will operate there, which will strengthen the tourism potential of the place. The revitalization of Salt Square will affect the growth of employment and the development of additional services within the facility.

- Seating and rest areas: well-designed infrastructure encourages residents to spend time in the square.
- Green areas: Increased the amount of green space in the square through new planting of trees and plants. Created a friendly environment.
