About this good practice
The sports facility is located in Albano Laziale at the edge of the residential area.
The structure consists of a regular football field of 115 x 60 m measures and two football fields illuminated with 4 towers high about 16 ml: each tower has 4 2000 watt cd projectors for a total of 8000 watts per tower. The rest of the area insists about 20 light points of 150 Watts.
The structure is used daily by almost 150 users, mainly in afternoon and evening hours.
The building that houses changing rooms and bathrooms of 30 x 13 m is located in the north of the football fields, with Northeast orientation. The structure is in tufa blocks of about 30 cm thick, the cover is flat with bituminous membrane.
Work done:
• Heating: galvanized steel distribution line for the supply of ceiling fans, which guarantees an average temperature of 20 ° C within the premises.
• Generation of domestic hot water by using double coil storage tanks with filtration and softening system.
• Installation of timed automatic closing taps.
• Realization of 10 Kpw photovoltaic plant.
• Cover insulation

Evidence of success
the interventions carried out have greatly reduced the energy consumption of the structure and expenses thanks to the new galvanized steel distribution line for the supply of ceiling fans, which guarantees an average temperature of 20 ° C within the premises; a double coil storage tanks with filtration and softening system; the timed automatic closing taps; the 10 Kpw photovoltaic plant and the cover insulation.
Potential for learning or transfer
This project has developed innovative technical solutions that represent the optimal compromise between plant simplicity, cost of construction, minimization of construction works, and benefits on cost management.
The project is replicable in other buildings throughout the region. Both in private and in public buildings like this one.
