About this good practice
In 2018, Flixbus is approaching Autocars Dominique - the parent company of B.E. green to find new transport partners. More than ever involved in the challenges of the energy transition, Autocars Dominique and B.E. green submit the idea of setting up a 100% electric line. Seduced by this new and unique proposal on the market, Flixbus joined forces with Autocars Dominique and B.E. green to launch, between Paris and Amiens, the world's first long-distance line in 100% electric coaches!
FlixBus and B.E. green, activists in the field of ecological mobility:
Since its creation, FlixBus has offered an alternative, ecological and economical mobility service. With this line, FlixBus opens a new chapter in long-distance mobility, with the support and experience of B.E. Green.
By investing in electric buses, Flixbus is supporting a major shift in mobility and a future of greener travel.
The main objectives are to save more than 1,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions each year on this line, and to make the journey as comfortable as possible for users (no engine noise).
The main beneficiaries are travelers between Amiens and Paris.

Evidence of success
Number of km travelled since start of the line: 270 400 km
Number of passengers transported: 62.192
CO2 emission from well to wheel: 227.136 kg (CO2 emission for a Euro 6 thermal coach: 251.472 VS production of electricity required for the operation of the electric coach: 24.336)
CO2 emission per person transported: 0.39 kg per journey (0.30g/person and per km travelled)
0 CO2 emission, 0 Nox and fine particles
77 kg of NOx and 0.7 kg of fine particles saved compared to Euro 6 thermal coach
