About the project
AZRRI as a regional development agency is working on the project implementation and coordination production-wise in rural areas. The main goals of the Agency are to create opportunities for sustainable agri-food, farming and tourism sector and technologically advanced field-to-table food systems. Many studies had shown that crop-specific agricultural research investments can be prioritised to anticipate climate change's impact on crops and to enable the production of more nutritious food. In order to safeguard crops and plants to be resilient to future climate changes, it is crucial to investigate how their products can be more sustainable but also more resistant to for example dry periods, weather disasters and etc. Since AZRRI has a lot of experience in conducting educational workshops, our idea is to use the Educational Gastronomy Centre of Istria as a platform to share the results and knowledge about resistant agriculture production and ways of producing more nutritious food.
