The aim of the programme is to produce well-being for people and nature in a bright, integrated, sustainable and achievable way. Tampere Region S3 is a part of the programme. The Programme is based on five missions that were identified in a co-creative process in which all stakeholders of the region were invited.
The Finnish ERDF funding is channelled by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment to regional authorities like the Council of Tampere Region. In the current programming period, there are six priority axes in the Innovation and skills in Finland 2021–2027 programme. The objectives of the SafeSkills proposal are fully in line with the specific objective 3 (increasing growth and competitiveness of SMEs) of the 1st priority (innovation) of the ERDF programme. The Local Security Plan arises from a process of continuous improvement that reviews and updates previous plans to address the evolving needs within the framework of Barcelona's reality. This ensures the continuity and coherence of existing strategies while incorporating new actions tailored to emerging needs. One of the objectives is to address insecurity from multiple complementary perspectives: police, conflict prevention, and appropriate public policies. The diversity of legitimate uses of public space by individuals and groups with different cultural backgrounds is considered. Actions are approached in an integrated and multifactorial manner, with an emphasis on training and capacitating security actors to enhance their competencies in service management, including prevention strategies and civic education to strengthen social cohesion.
Conducting awareness campaigns to inform the public in different areas about civic behavior and available mediation services, as well as developing educational materials to support communities in improving internal management.
