Region of Western Greece-Entrepreneurial Discovery Process
The Region of Western Greece held an Entrepreneurial Discovery Process on 20.03.2024 for the "Tourism-Culture-Creative Industry" sector within the framework of Regional Innovation Strategy (RIS3) 2021-2027.
During the meeting stakeholders members of the Quadruple Innovation Ecosystem Helix (public bodies, businesses, Research and Knowledge Dissemination Organizations, and civil society) discussed on ideas that would deliver research/innovation topics/projects implemented in the region with potentials of advancing the economic activity and development perspective of the sector in Western Greece.
Experts presented the framework of the RIS3 Strategy 2021-2027, the Tourism Strategy from the Ministry of Tourism, and the possibilities of transnational collaborations in Culture (Creative Europe). Moreover, sub-groups were formed for Tourism and Culture- Creative Industry to express the participants' ideas and synergy needs.
The consultation is underway through the relevant consultation platform, with the submission of proposals and the possibility of commenting on the proposals.
After the end of the 1st cycle of the Business Discovery Process, there will be calls for funding initiatives arising from the Western Greece Regional Operational Programme.
