Societal ageing is a rising trend and one of the major challenges of our society, attracting strong interest in all European regions.

Addressing this challenge requires a holistic and collaborative approach, that requires the collaboration and involvement of various actors and stakeholders (government and public institutions, health and welfare sector, business and technology industry, nonprofit and voluntary organizations, family, caregivers, and the elderly themselves) each with a specific role to play in ensuring healthy, active, and fulfilling aging for all. Only through a shared commitment it is possible to initiate new projects where technology can improve the lives of the elderly and support a more vibrant and inclusive silver economy. Through the NOTRE project, the aim is to stimulate the improvement of regional policies in favor of SMEs' development of new products and services for elderly care.

In order to create an international network and facilitate the exchange of experiences among the project partners, specific questionnaires analyzing 3 main pillars (end users, enterprises, and region) were submitted.

The focus of the first pillar (end users), aimed at the elderly, aims to understand their needs and receptivity to digital solutions in daily life; the second pillar is aimed at businesses to understand their point of view in the processes of providing digitization services/products for elderly care; and the third pillar is aimed at institutions in the region. The objective of the third pillar is to understand the policy, strategies and initiatives put in place by the Emilia-Romagna Region in supporting digital solutions for the elderly, through the collection of relevant successful experiences and future proposals.

Each Partner administered the check-ups to their target areas achieving the project objectives. CNA Emilia-Romagna, thanks to the support of CNA Retired and the local CNAs, which contributed in the process of administering the questionnaires to their areas of interest, achieved important objectives by exceeding the expected targets, demonstrating the interest and value that this project has aroused in all parties involved. As many as 46 end-users and 9 SMEs from Emilia-Romagna participated in the project, contributing to this success, which allowed NOTRE to be given great visibility and results with a diversity of perspectives, skills and significance. This is a truly positive result that deserves to be valued and is a solid basis for initiating new future projects and initiatives.
