VIADUCT Featured at West Romania Innovation Event

In February 2025, the West Regional Development Agency (West RDA) brought together regional innovators, researchers, and policymakers in Timișoara for a lively exchange on European collaboration, innovation, and sustainable growth. The gathering offered a space to share fresh ideas, explore synergies, and spotlight projects shaping the future of regional development through the Interreg Europe and Interreg Danube programmes.
Among the initiatives presented was VIADUCT, which supports the creation of spin-offs in strategic sectors by unlocking the value of knowledge and research. The project was highlighted as a practical example of how regions can build stronger innovation ecosystems and better connect policy, research, and entrepreneurship.
Alongside VIADUCT, five other projects took the stage:
-
BEST DIH – helping regions design more effective policies for digital transformation
-
BRAIN – supporting the integration of artificial intelligence into small and medium-sized enterprises
-
CODIL – addressing how innovation happens in distributed, often remote, work settings
-
BETTI – developing ethical and reliable governance models for generative AI
-
ACTAge – promoting inclusive, healthy ageing through smarter regional policies
The event also featured contributions from local universities and innovation organisations:
-
Politehnica University of Timișoara explored the evolving role of universities in an AI-driven world
-
Aurel Vlaicu University of Arad discussed the growing importance of cybersecurity in the age of artificial intelligence
-
ErgoWork Society introduced a new collaborative research platform inspired by the work of the Stockholm Resilience Centre
-
DIGIVEST shared successful approaches to digital innovation and regional cooperation
By taking part in events like this, VIADUCT continues to strengthen its role in advancing knowledge valorisation and supporting innovation-driven growth across Europe.
