Let's meet the Municipality of Rimini, one of Europe’s most renowned, frequented, and beloved seaside destinations. In Italy, it serves as a pivotal hub within the tourism system. Although it is a medium-sized Italian Province with approximately 325,000 inhabitants, Rimini holds the significance of a metropolitan city, boasting a strong tradition of hospitality that attracts 15 million visitors annually.
Being an active partner of SPOTLOG, thanks to the continuous exchange and dialogue on good practices at European level, is helping Rimini to quickly push forward for a greener logistics. Concrete examples come from the Traffic Limited Zone implemented in April 2024; and from the SULP - Sustainable Urban Logistics Plan approval, putting into action the strategy to improve the logistics operations, reducing congestion and pollution of the region.
