2nd Regional Stakeholder Group Meeting in Rzeszow

The second Regional Stakeholder Group Meeting was held on 6 December 2023. The meeting organised by The Regional Center for Social Policy in Rzeszow and Rzeszow Regional Development Agency was aimed at presenting good practices gained during the study visit to the Croatian city of Sibenik and concerned additional support for migrants and refugees in terms of housing, social, educational and health assistance.

During the meeting, the project team presented good practices in terms of housing assistance provided in Ireland and Croatia, as well as social integration support presented by countries such as Latvia and Italy, and educational activities carried out for refugees and migrants identified by the Romanian partner. During the meeting, there was a discussion on the transferability and application of good practices that would lead to changes in regional policy in the Podkarpackie region and on the coordination of activities related to assistance for this group in the form of networking with local authorities, organisations or social partners. Both representatives of the Voivodeship Labour Office in Rzeszów and the Marshal's Office of the Podkarpackie Voivodeship emphasised the important activity for migrants and refugees, which is vocational activation.
