SALAM Participative Workshops in Barcelona

The SALAM Workshops & immersion in peer learning events, hosted by Servei Públic d'Ocupació de Catalunya (SOC), will take place on 16th and 17th June 2025 in Barcelona. 

The meeting will focus on Catalonia’s approach to labour market integration, highlighting key regional initiatives aimed at supporting the integration of immigrants, promoting inclusive employment, and fostering social cohesion.

Participants will have the opportunity to visit leading local organisations such as Formació i Treball—an organisation dedicated to training and job insertion for socially excluded groups—and Grameimplus, the economic development agency of the Santa Coloma de Gramenet City Council. In addition to insightful presentations and discussions on policies such as ACOL, a Generalitat de Catalunya's policy for migrant labour integration, which supports migrant labour integration, the event will feature visits to Barcelona Activa, the city's economic development agency.

The SALAM Workshops and peer learning events offer a unique opportunity to engage with regional stakeholders, exchange knowledge, and explore collaborative pathways for addressing migration challenges in the context of labour integration. It promises to be an enriching event for all involved, providing valuable insights into regional policies and practices that can be replicated across Europe.
