SALAM migrant Integration in Centre-Val de Loire

On 18 December 2024, the Région Centre – Val de Loire‘s stakeholders met to collaborate and coordinate on activities impacted by the SALAM project. This meeting brought about 50 partners coming from local training facilities and from different public authorities managing policies on training opportunities and welcoming migrant populations.

After the introduction of the SALAM project to every partner, discussions aimed at rethinking our policy and sharing experiences from the ground as well as problems and the first good practices coming from European partners of the SALAM project.

The priorities of this meeting were to understand the different priorities from every scale but also to co-build policies on the most crucial issues at stake. These returns of experience stressed the need to consistently recalibrate training; to rethink the administrations’ efforts in light of the specific needs of migrant populations and fully understand the difficulties partners and populations face on a daily basis.

This meeting was of the utmost importance given the need for transparency and co-construction between partners, no matter the country they come from or the scale they work on.

With this work and the Stuttgart meeting, the Centre - Val de Loire Region is committed to progress by addressing the policy needs and lacks and by strengthening collaboration across regions.
