Fruitful Deep Dive into Catalonia
The second On-Site Deep Dive (OSDD) took place in Barcelona, Catalonia 28–29 November 2023. Our hosts at ACCIÓ had prepared an excellent programme for PLASTIX partners and stakeholders.
On the first day, there was an open seminar to which Catalan companies were invited, and there were more than sixty participants in the event. There were presentations on the Catalan ecosystem, circular economy, plastics sector and related clusters and support schemes. The following stakeholders from PLASTIX partner regions also had the time to pitch their company or activities to the audience:
In the seminar, the PLASTIX state-of-play analysis was published, and Maria Dolors Nuñez from ACCIÓ presented the key findings. The report comprises of a general part on the plastics sector in Eruope and globally, and of a part that focuses on the six regions collaboration in PLASTIX, i.e. Catalonia, Fryslan, Lombardy, Slovenia, Tampere, and Värmland.
The OSDD Catalonia offered PLASTIX partners and stakeholders the possibility to visit the Barcelona Supercomputing Centre and an interesting company GCR in Taragona. During the two days, there was also a Steering Group meeting and a videoshoot over the roofs of Barcelona for the project introductory video, which will come out early January 2024.
