Supporting a greener model of thermal spa destinations in Europe
Since their origin, the thermal towns use a raw natural resource and are particularly sensitive to the questions of sustainable development insofar as the quality of the water constitutes a requirement for the health and the well-being of the visitors.
Moreover, thermal water is itself a source of energy. The thermal establishments recover, already for some of them, the calories which come from the excess thermal waters, however, some improvements could be brought.
The objective of the project idea is to support policies learning among partners by improving the policies dedicated to thermal destinations or operators for a greener model of thermal spa resorts based on renewable energy and circular and resource efficient economy.
