On the 3rd and 4th of June, ENAIBLER project partners met in Opole, Poland, for the fifth site visit of the project, hosted by the Opolskie Centre for Economy Development/Opolskie Voivodeship.
Over two days, partners and local stakeholders shared ideas and experiences about how artificial intelligence (AI) and digital tools can help improve public services and solve common challenges in their regions.

The first day focused on using AI to improve cybersecurity in public services.
Participants joined discussions and listened to presentations about local and regional projects, learning how AI can make digital systems safer, more efficient, and easier to trust.

One of the highlights of the visit was a tour of Nutricia – a modern food production factory known for its advanced use of digital technology and AI. The company is recognised for its smart and eco-friendly manufacturing methods, showing how Industry 4.0 technologies work in real life.

On the second day, the group visited a local science and technology park (DataCenter) and the research and innovation centre at a university hospital.
These visits showed how close cooperation between health services, research, and technology can lead to new and responsible ways of using AI, especially in healthcare.

The two days in Opole were a great chance to see how different regions in Europe are using AI in real and useful ways. By working together, sharing knowledge, and learning from each other, the ENAIBLER project is helping regions lead the way in digital change and shape the future of digital innovation in Europe.

A big thank you to our hosts at the Opolskie Centre for Economy Development/Opolskie Voivodeship for the excellent organisation. Their support made the visit both valuable and enjoyable for everyone involved.
