6th Stakeholder Meeting in Galicia

On May 9th 2025, our lead partner AGADER and regional partner Fundación Juana de Vega held the sixth regional meeting of Galician stakeholders of the Down-To-Earth project.

In the first part of the meeting, the progress of the project was presented to the Galician stakeholders. The study visit to the Gorenjska region in Slovenia was also discussed, highlighting relevant experiences such as the impact of the Agricultural Strategy of the Bohinj municipality. The stakeholder group had the opportunity to discuss the initiatives presented and offer their input on how the learnings gained from the visit could apply to Galicia.

Afterwards, the conclusions of the seminar held with an expert on the third-year’s topic were presented. The seminar highlighted factors such as the role of data in the implementation of successful initiatives, and the opportunities to develop a wider net of collaboration between programs with common objectives. The open discussion allowed stakeholders to provide input on these factors, which will be considered in the preparation of the third regional report. This collaborative approach aims to ensure that the report adequately reflects the challenges and opportunities of Galicia's rural economy in a holistic manner.

The meeting concluded with details of the forthcoming study visit to Bucharest, Romania, which will include visits to several local initiatives. Interested stakeholders were invited to participate in this visit.
