Presentation at the Conference.

On 7-8 February 2024, Sweden's most important meeting place for gender equality was held in Karlstad, Värmland, with 1250 participants from all over Sweden, where DEBUTING Lead Partner Region Värmland presented DEBUTING Project and the Good Practice “Schyst”.

The conference's program had a clear connection to the UN's 2030 sustainability agenda – our joint plan and a good example of gender mainstreaming. The program consisted of in-depth seminars, good examples, practical method workshops and thought-provoking speeches. The local hosts of the event were Region Värmland and Karlstad municipality.

Project Manager Katarina Nordmark and Web Strategist Patrik Hamberg from Region Värmland participated in the conference and, among other things, informed about the DEBUTING project and how Värmland collaborate in Europe with issues related to gender equality, clusters and smart specialisation.

Region Värmland also launched Schyst.se at the conference in cooperation with clusters in Värmland. Schyst is a platform where everyone can find knowledge, inspiration and tools to act and work more equally and inclusively. Schyst has been selected as a good practice in DEBUTING.

"We at Region Värmland are very happy and proud that Forum Jämställdhet chose to come to Karlstad and Värmland. Creating the conditions for an equal society is one of the most important issues we have to work with in order to contribute to sustainable development for the citizens of today and the future" says Katarina Nordmark, DEBUTING Project Manager from Region Värmland.
