DEBUTING was proud to be part of an online discussion on female entrepreneurship on 28 March. The event was organized by Interreg Europe Policy Learning Platform and it brought together multiple Interreg Europe projects to learn from each other.

The event started with a round table where all the projects were presented before deep diving into examples on enhancing gender equality. The first one was an example of from FEMINA project, focusing on tackling challenges in the level of innovating with increased gender equality.

The event included two presentations from DEBUTING project, both on our good practices. The first one was Schyst, presented by Katarina Nordmark from Region Värmland that has raised a lot of interest around Europe. Schyst is a digital knowledge bank helping companies and other organisations to improve and implement activities leading to gender equality and inclusion. In addition it helps to motivate different actors in this journey for example by showing the benefits gender equality, diversity and inclusion bring.

This was followed by a presentation from Claudia Ferrigno from ART-ER, Emilia-Romagna, on GendER Map, an interactive tool created to help organizations make concrete actions to advance gender equality, inclusion and diversity. The platform enables sharing of initiatives in the field that have been proven successful and it includes already almost 90 good practices.

The last presentation was by Mar Porras from STEM Women Association in Catalonia, on empowering women in STEM and how this could be done in a policy context. The presentations stirred a vivid discussion, and it was concluded that there would be a need to take the discussions further.
