GendER Map is an interactive tool, available in Italian and English and designed by ART-ER as part of the DEBUTING project. In GendER Map initiatives from Emilia-Romagna fostering equal opportunities in the workplace are mapped and promoted for public and private bodies, companies, educational and training institutions, and non-governmental organizations.

The current mapping includes 86 good practices but the aim is to encourage the creation of new projects and innovative solutions by inviting people and entities in Emilia-Romagna to contribute.

GendER Map is designed to be dynamic, open and constantly updateable via a Google form. The form is aimed at collecting projects relating to women's access to the job market, STEM, management roles and work-life balance.

Created to be accessible, with a color choice tested to ensure visibility also for people with color blindness, it was developed within the Interreg Europe DEBUTING project and as part of the "Regional analysis - The gender perspective in the context of Emilia-Romagna: data, good practices, indicators and recommendations".

Good practices included are classified by name, period and type of funding body, with the specification of the financing body or programme when available. They are organized by tags and thematic categories. The tags cover six main areas inspired by the thematic areas of the Italian regulatory practice for gender equality certification UNI/PdR 125:2022, with customizations to better adapt to the experiences presented: training, policies and financing, protection of parenthood, leadership, integration of the dimension gender, and human resources.

The thematic categories – identified in the Debuting project cover aspects such as training for women, organizational culture, innovation and sustainable business development.
